My Brother’s Keeper is dedicated to providing Straight Talk~ Sound Direction mentoring services to assist individuals dealing with the hardships of life by helping them live with Integrity, Respect and Standards. We are committed to providing our clients with the knowledge and skills to make positive decisions and changes in their lives. My Brother’s Keeper, Inc. was founded in 2003 by Harry F. Sydney as a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization with a mission to provide Straight Talk and Sound Direction to individuals who lack necessary life-coping skills. Participants range from troubled boys identified by schools, courts, and parents, to men struggling with relationships, job dissatisfaction, and financial difficulty and defining and achieving realistic goals. Since our inception we have helped thousands if boys and men change their lives.
Harry Sydney, Founder/Executive Director of My Brother’s Keeper has a degree in Criminology and Juvenile Justice from the University of Kansas. Harry played a vital role while working with Art Agnos Mayor of San Francisco in the late 1980’s as member of the task force to stop gang violence around Candlestick Park. His credentials and experience as an NFL coach and player as well as overcoming a childhood filed with adversity helps him work with individuals that others may consider unreachable!
People can change, but first they must have to know how to change. Many troubled youth do not have a positive role model in their lives to help them know how to act responsibly or how to change. Through Straight Talk – Sound Direction individual mentoring, My Brother’s Keeper helped individuals to deal with the hardships in their life by helping them learn to live with Integrity, Respect, and Standards.
